Ideal for scrabble tile art and deep enough to add extra items. Ideal. Glass is fixed in by an interior frame. Awesome.

These frames don’t have the finish like the shadow box frames and they are 1cm shallower.
I also found on the black frames, that you need to clean the inside of the wood first, otherwise it leaves bits all over your work, it cleaned off no problem but I should have just dusted it out first and saved myself a trauma!!
That said, they were perfect for what I wanted them for and I’m very happy with the finished product. Thank you Hobbycraft

Poor quality
I've been buying frames here for some time, usually when half price. I keep them until I need to use them. Unfortunately, this means I can't see the damage until it's too late. Many are extremely poorly finished and I can't sand the splinters off, paint is chipped/ missing and knot holes are many. The last seven I bought could only use two. The larger frames seen to be better quality, the smaller are rather shoddy.

Mixed feelings
The product itself looked the part and was definitely what I needed but it was extremely difficult to take the back off the frame in order to put my artwork in. I ended up using a knife to pry open the frame. It may have just been my particular frame with this issue and if I'd had more time I would have swapped it for another one. Overall it is a decent product for the price you pay

Exactly what I wanted
Great product. Good size for the crafty christmas present I wanted to create and with a good depth for the large items I wanted to put in the frame.
Only thing to raise is that the finish in black wasn't as smooth - it was a bit bobbly. But I picked the best out of what was available and the frame was reduced in the sale so can't complain really.

Great little box frames usually buy them when they are on offer! Sturdy with thick glass!
Only thing that lets them down is there is no mount, sometimes the clips on the back snap off the first time you take the back off and the glass is always really dirty so always have to give it a good clean, other than that they are great!

Perfect little box frame
This little box frame was perfect for an antique Chinese embroidered purse id wanted to frame for ages!
This one came in a variety of great sizes ,was beautifully made and easy to slot together and hang. Simple and elegant. Just the right depth to show of the stitch work too! I'd recommend and I'd definitely buy again too!

The one that got away??
The box frames were perfect for displaying St Patricks Day cross stitch with added charms a confetti.
How ever next time I purchase the boxes I will check them before buying, as one box had the clip to hang the frame missing at the back.
Not too much of a probem as luckily the boxes are able to stand alone.

Absolutely fantastic product & price!
I bought 4 box frames and I cannot find one fault with them! Perfect sizes for what I wanted to use them for, so sturdy and the finish on them is amazing. I'll definitely be back for more. Perfect for price and havent found anywhere that does them cheaper so again i'm very pleased with the savings too!

Hereford branch staff really interested in helping me sort out the items I needed to start a new craft and I’m a total beginner to any craft! It was a pleasure to be in the shop and to feel I could ask them any question without feeling stupid. They were encouraging in a kind way.

I love these deep box frames ! They were on sale & i made 3 of them for my familys upcoming birthdays with my 16 week old daughters footprint inside , alongside scrabble letters spelling her name and jewels for decoration!

Lovely little box photo frame
As I do photography, I really like the size as it goes along with the larger 30x30cm frame. The quality is also good and the frame itself seems to be made really well. I also like the style of the frame and the price I bought it at was reasonable and not over priced.

Perfect fit, but check prices
Perfect fit for a 6" canvas painting I have, slight imperfection on one of the the corner joins but it's not enough to worry about. I missed the sale on this item online but was pleased to see it was still at 50% price in store more than a week later!

Perfect frame for vintage / antique floor / wall tiles
I have been searching for the perfect box frame design for a few Victorian floor / wall / fireplace tiles. With a little extra cardboard padding to keep each tile firmly in place, this is it! I have some very pretty wall hangings now. Very happy.

Black deep box frame 15cm x 15cm
The 15cm x 15cm Box frame was attractive and sturdy. It allowed me to mount a small oil painting on a 5mm thick board inside it easily. However the glass area measured 15.5cm x 15.5cm so I had to disguise the small gap around the picture.

Great quality
Great box frame, the painted finish on it is really good, and after placing the 3D picture I had made in it, the back held it really securely and when hung up it didn't shift at all and looked great. Also good price for the quality of it.

They're a great frame and price! i That's if they didn't change the spec of the aperture it shows the size 15x15 on the label but was sent 16.5x16.5 on label. so had to send them back as my project didn't work with the ones you sent

Sturdy but easily dinged
Gorgeous to look at, but very easily dented and dinged - one minor accident is leaving us looking a having to repaint it since each ding scrapes through to the white below. If you're more careful than we were then you should be fine!

Great for display
Deep enough to hold stones; can use without the glass if needed. Great product at half price. Only 4 * due to having one of the pins at the back missing. Didn’t affect usage and I had already completed the project so didn’t return.

Great little frame
This little frame made a great Fathers Day gift from my step daughter to her daddy. We stuck scrable letters inside it, also purchesed from Hobby Craft, saying...'my daddy my whole world'.

Nice option to make as a quick gift. Make sure you check the objects and putting together layout before putting together as sometimes you can overestimate what fits and not what doesn’t. Lovely option for kids crafts too.
