Love the box canvas
I havent painted anything on my canvas yet.but i have plans to paint Captain America's shield on it.the box canvases sit very well on the wall.they sit nice and flat and even.i have used box canvases before and i like the extra thickness because i can continue my design off the edges.it gives a nice effect.on my last visit i bought a 100cm x 50cm block canvas. I painted a tribal owl type picture for my mum for her birthday!! It looks amazing up on her wall.as its a block canvas it stands out that bit more. Im not really reviewing my 61 x 61canvas but just saying how great i think the block canvases i have bought from hobbycraft really are. They are great quality and the range of sizes is amazing!!hobbycraft is my new favourite shop! It has everything the hobbyist could ever need.but for me its all about the canvases.just a brilliant shop!!

Great quality and value.
Hobbycraft have such a great range of different size box canvas and this box canvas was the absolute perfect size for my project. It's lightweight but sturdy and of excellent quality. The range is really reasonably priced too. Ordering online was quick and easy and collection was covid secure, efficient and very friendly. Well done Stevenage Hobbycraft!

Perfect size for my needs
I buy these box canvas’ regularly for my art business, I like that I can choose the size I require easily in store, always helpful staff at the Basildon branch, some donhave slight problems with dents in the frame that’s why I personally pick the ones I need. I think edge protectors could maybe solve this? Overall pleased with the product.

Solid Canvas
The primer on the canvas has a slightly rough tooth (texture) which aids the application of paint. The wood seems heavier than other brands of canvas which makes it feel more solid. Some of the canvases in the shop were slightly warped so check them by looking down the edges before you buy them.

Premium Quality Superb Results
All HobbyCraft canvases whatever the size and the artist's medium are of superb quality and value (especially if in a sale or with membership discount...) will enhance any artistic creation...!!
If you're an artist and not tried these canvases, then you are not an artist..!!

Good quality
This range of canvases are the best for a restricted budget but you want a professional finish. The gesso covered canvas is heavier bodied and has not shown any sagging. Well worth a try but choose carefully.....the corners are not folded neatly on the odd one or two.

A little uneven at the corners but the canvas material is easy to paint on and gives a good clean finish
However £19 is very expensive and when you’re trying to sell your art it doesn’t give much of a window for high profit
Overall decent tho

Relatively good value canvas
On the whole, these canvases are an affordable good quality canvas, but be careful to choose one with straight edges. Occasionally, I have come across canvases that have bowed side bars making it near impossible to frame up neatly. Look before you select.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the recent canvas (especially as it’s 3 for 2!). I usually make my own but was in a hurry this time to produce something and cannot really compete at these prices. Tempted to keep going with them!

Great Product.
As with all products I have purchased from Hobbycraft, these block canvases are first class. A delight to work on the surface with strong wooden frame making them my favourite canvas to work on with acrylic paint. Superb purchase !!

Perfect size for the acrylic pour I had in mind, lots of paint used and the canvas didn’t sag at all so the painting turned out perfect, very pleased with it, I will definately but again. Great price too.

Good product
Nice sturdy good value canvas. After applying a coat of white gesso, the acrylic paint glided on nicely. Without gesso, it has a nice tooth for drag effects. Would have no hesitation in buying again.

Great value
I always look at the weave on the back of the canvas, and this one is a medium type. Good quality, great for oils or acrylic. Local 'art suppliers' will probably charge twice as much for this!!!
