Good but be careful of air bubbles!
I have never "written" with icing so was extremely nervous when using this on a fondant cake, but was pleasantly surprised at how easy this tube was to use. Nice flow so able to write intricate message. However only issue was there was a sudden splat/air bubble which came out when icing. Not sure if that was down to me applying too much pressure or if air inside the tube.

Did well for an amateur.
I was tasked with making a superman cake. I haven't baked a cake in 30 tears but iced some. I would call myself a keen amateur. I needed a thin icing to make the webbing on spiderman cake. It did well. I would suggest you need to practice before using and wipe nozzle frequently.

Good
Icing flows out the tube nicely and is easy to control for detailed designs. Not giving 5 stars because I think it could taste a lot nicer & I think £3 is a bit much, but you get a decent amount & the taste is disguised with whatever baked good you put it on.

Terrible
Decorated some Halloween cookies with this. After 4 days in fridge it still didn’t set, and when I went to put cookies in cellophane it all smudged. Total waste of time and money.

The icing was incredibly difficult to get out of the tube smoothly and very messy. I used it to draw on a cake....I couldn't even imagine how you could get it to write neatly

I had imagined that I would get a neat line with this but - it couldn’t have been further from that! It was useless! It splodges out in a big blob, and comes out uneavenly.

high quality and reliable
This is a good quality writing icing - easy to use and stays a good consistency (doesn't go runny unlike others I've used in the past). The tube also has a long shelf life.

Great icing substitute
Writes evenly, with a small nozzle.
Strong colour, maybe not the best flavour on its own but on top of cakes/biscuits makes no difference.

Doesn't even dry!
All our Halloween decorated cakes have disgusting tasting, wet icing on them a day after we made them..Why wouldn't you make icing to set?!

Really easy to use

Poor Quality and difficult to use
Awful consistency. Really hard to squeeze out - not great for doing anything other than dots. Too watery looking - not like icing at all.

This icing did not come out a smoothly as hoped and when squeezed hard it split at the end causing black icing to go everywhere!

Tricky to write consistently
I found it quite hard to pipe lines consistently, with breaks in the flow of icing, which spoiled the effect I was going for.
