My go-to clay
Always buy this product. It's cheap and great for loads of craft projects, quick drying and not too heavy so can by combined with other materials for extra detail/gap filling. Perfect!

Versatile and enjoyable
I love this modelling product. I used it with my granddaughter to make leaf shaped dishes, using actual leaves for the imprint. We have also made small tree decorations.

Great product and easy to use
This is lovely to use and unlike the terracotta one you don't get left with orange hands... easy to use and keeps my dolls house family well fed.

Great value
My 9 year old son bought this using his pocket money. He's spent ages making little models of sharks and boats.

Good value
Bought this for Christmas crafts - name tags for crackers - but plenty left for various other crafts. Good value for money and does the job well. I would recommend this for any basic crafting - if you want detail work then you’re better off with regular clay or polymer like Fimo.
Ideal for landscape work on a diarama or for rolling out and cutting shapes. Make sure you leave it for at least 24hrs - even a thing amount needs plenty of drying time.

Wouldn’t buy again
I’m new to clay crafting and thought all clays were the same except for air dry or bake. How wrong was I. Bought this as it was cheaper than the Heartysoft that was recommended. I found this clay wet and sticks to your fingers, palms etc. It’s not white even when it is dry. Very fibrous. Bought Heartysoft in the end and the difference is incredible, sooo much better all round. Will be giving this to the youngsters for some messy play.

disappointed dried too quickly to model
Bought this as needed a very small amount of clay for my son to make models for his school project. This was the smallest pack size available. I asked if this was 'real' clay as wasn't clearly labelled on the packet - shop assistant said yes.....turns out it isn't real clay and we had difficulties moulding it and joining pieces as dried out so quickly and had fibres in - must be some sort of mixed clay and fibre. wouldn't buy again

Brilliant clay
I absolutely love the Das modelling and air drying clay, it's so versatile and flexible and even when you make the thinnest if shapes it doesn't break easily. I love how you don't even need a kiln or even to set the clay and the air will do the job for you and seal in the texture and moisture so it won't take days and days to dry. Five stars all the way.

Great product
Got this for my daughter to use as part of a project at school. It was just the job - easy to use and she made what he wanted to make. It dried out really well. The only downside is that you have to store left over product carefully - she wrapped it in the packaging but it obviously wasn't airtight as the leftovers dried out really well too!!!

Very easy to manipulate
I’ve used polymer clay before but never used air dried clay before. It was fabulous straight out of the packet and dried in 24hrs. I used it to stamp images into and then trim away excess clay. Used porcelain paint to weather and give great patina.
Hi didn’t find it messy but did keep a basin of water and a sponge handy to clean as I went.

Too rubbery
Really quite awful clay more like rubber. Almost impossible to stick multiple bits together even after adding water they almost repel each other. Also tried sticking gems and things in it which it didn't like at all and the clay just cracks apart all the time and water wouldn't help. Definitely trying Hobbycraft own brand next time.

Superb product
Stays pliable and doesn't crack on handling. Air dries quickly especially when the weather is warm. (Overnight in the summer if rolled out thinly). Can be sanded smooth and takes paint nicely. Surprisingly it is quite strong and not brittle when dry. I used it to make clay gift tags which held up to handling on a present.

Modelling Made Easy.
Very easy to shape and once dried takes paint well. I find that a coat of acrylic varnish to finish off seems to " bring the models to life"! I've used it in the past to make miniature nativity sets and tiny populated villages, my latest purchase will make little grave stones etc for a miniature village church yard.

Most malleable air dry clay.
Good clay for home modelling/craft.
Best for intermediate modellers. Especially for those that do not have access to an oven for heating/drying clay.
However, there were pieces of paper inside my clay this time... This has never happened before and I’ve bought the DAS clay, Hobbycraft’s own clay a couple times.

Perfect for modelling little animals
I got this for my daughter as she likes to use air drying clay for making little animals. I don't have ornaments in my home i have clay animals that she makes me which makes them so much more special. I would definitely recommend this item and the fact that there are different colours means there is endless fun.
