The ink is so vivid, I can imagine my biggest concern will be just how much to dilute it to get slightly more subtle colours.

Vivid Colours that blend well
These have a good consistency and blend well on the paper. Use water and they become even better. Either dilute directly on the paper or use a wet brush to pick up pigment off the block.I also have the pencils which are very good but I would say these are even better. The colours are so vibrant. Will definitely be buying more when these have been used up.

Versatile and intense!
Great product, fabulous intense colours that can be used in many ways. Use like pastels and activate with water, stir in small amount of water for watercolour work, take straight from the sticks with wet brushes if you want ombre effects for example. Possibilities seem endless. Loving this product!

Love the bright colours.
I love these blocks, they have the brightness
And permanence of ink but are easy to use
either by using them on the paper and dissolving them with a wet paintbrush or by using them like a paint pan by dipping a wet brush into them and painting with them as you would watercolour pans.

Thumbs Up On Many Levels
I have most of the Inktense pencils but wanted the blocks because this system dyes fabric and shaving the blocks is easier.
Very impressed with Derwent, especially this range. As a textile artist, I’m always looking for something different so this ticked all the boxes.

These Derwent inktense blocks can be used like crayons/pastels then when water is applied they turn into an ink effect. Or you can use them with a wet brush to apply like paint. Really versatile as apparently can be used on material too. Great vibrant colours.

Versatile medium
Loving the creative potential of these. They can be used on fabric too. Very strong colours, can be diluted or mixed. The range of colours in the tin provides a good basic palette, but not all of them are to my liking. Would like to buy extra colours.

Good product
I didn’t buy this for its primary purpose so wasn’t quite what I was after but using an thinned acrylic glaze instead of just water I achieved what I wanted too.
It didn’t seem as permanent as I thought it would with using with just water.

Ideal for fabric painting
Good for adding colour to paper, but also painting on fabric. Unlike using a acrylic paint on fabric, the Intense don't make the material stiff, meaning you can easily stitch into it. Great for textile arts.

Great for Mixed Media
I have both inktense paints and pencils and love them. The teacher at my art class had the blocks, and they were great, so when I saw these in the sale it was a no brainier! Great for mixed media.

These crayons give a really good strong colour
I was recently introduced to these to use on fabric and have tested them out today. They are lovely to use (a bit messy on the hands but I expected that) and give a lovely strong colour.

lovely dense colours, can even be used on fabrics or to put down as a light wash, or permenant areas when watercolour painting as they down lift once down

Excellent just right for a travel set. The only problem with this set is there is no white. There is another set with a white in maybe stock both sets.
