this wool is the best value
As a total beginner, I picked up this Chunky Yarn as my first attempt at knitting a scarf. Since then I have tried a few different ones but this is the best wool for a scarf. It was the right amount to make a big chunky scarf, it was the right thickness and when I made mistakes ( loads) I could start again without affecting the condition of the wool.
So for those like me, a beginner, choose this one.

a good quality wool with attractive colours.
I bought this wool to knit a cardigan for myself. It is a chunky wool which is very easy to knit with using the 5mm and 6mm needles which are recommended in the knitting pattern.
I have not finished knitting the cardigan yet but it is turning out very well. I love the colour schemes of the wool. There are several to choose from and all contain several different shades which blend together when knitted giving a lovely effect . I chose the peach and grey, which has different shades of those colours in it and gives a stripey effect when knitted. I would recommend this wool to anyone who wants to knit something which looks original and modern. Another advantage is that it knits up very quickly.

Lovely yarn to crochet with
This is really good yarn. Obviously being a James Brett product, it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect a fairly high standard, especially when you consider the price of it. However, having used it for accessories for an amigurumi snowman and now for a hat for myself I a very pleased with how it crochets up and the overall look it gives.
As I mentioned previously, it is kind of pricey but if you CAN find it as part of a deal, (Hobbycraft's current 3 for 2 on yarn for example), it is worth it.
The range comes in several colour combinations, all of which look wonderful.

Crochet heaven
I chose this wool to make a shawl for my friend. It was easy to work with and the final product was beautiful. The colours are gorgeous. I have gone back and brought 2 more of another colour pallet. The staff in Colchester were wonderful and friendly. The young man at the till could see I was wearing my nurses uniform and kindly offered discount as I have a Blue Light discount card. The whole experience put a smile on my face at a time that as a healthcare worker things have been so hard. Thankyou Hobby Craft for recognizing our hard work it is very appreciated.

Not usual quality
I've used this wool several times before but this ball was not the usual quality I have come to expect. I knitted a scarf with this ball, at first the pattern was one colour then changed to two, this never repeated so the scarf looks odd. The wool also split very easily and had 6 knots which was very annoying. Another ball of a different colour bought at the same time is knitting up beautifully. Must have just been unlucky with this one

Sumptuous yarn to snuggle into
This is an amazing product to knit with, I have been knitting lap blankets for dementia sufferers since January when I found out I had a permanent lung condition and now on my 8th one. The colours are so blended and well thought out, the textures soft and inviting.

Excellent product, very effective.
Really great wool to work with, the 2 hats accomplished from one ball stand out and easily identified as the Marble wool. After making several in different colours and mixing them up it is one of my favourites to recommend to others. The amount you have to play with is great for many projects and goes a long way..give it a try if you’ve not used it before.

Looks great but.........
I really love the effect of the pattern in this wool once it is knitted up and it is also easy and quick to knit up. However, the yarn itself is a bit fragile and prone to snagging. Overall, though, very good value for money considering the price charged elsewhere for yarns, especially with the Hobbycraft offer which meant I saved about £4.

I've used James C Brett chunky yarn on numerous occasions and always found it beautiful to work with, today I'm using a new colour denim/peach, which to be honest doesn't look that brilliant in the ball, but when knitted up, it's absolutely beautiful, I loved it that much, I went and bought more.

Lovely yarn but too many knots!
I do love this marble chunky yarn. It makes great clothes and blankets and crochets up pretty quick. I do find there is quite a lot of joining knots though which is annoying if you are making items without a wrong side!
It's very soft and warm and the colours to choose from are great.
