Best gift that keeps giving
I bought this product for my 8 year old granddaughter and I am so pleased with it
Yes it is noisy but it isn't a problem
When I opened it up it was all set up and a test cloth showing the stitches
The guard around the needle is so neat and stops little fingers getting caught
She has made numerous things with her own inspiration and has opened up a new hobby

Would not recommend.
It's noisy, the foot pedal is too light. when changing the bobbin the spring fly's out and a night mare to find. Trying to get the tension right was a no go!! The thread is constantly breaking. Its going back to the shop.

Great kid's sewing machine
My daughter has been able to do sewing independently with this, it is easy to use and effective, not like other children's sewing machines.

Bought it for my 10 year old granddaughter as she loves crafting, and plays with my sewing machine. The tension is too tight and it's difficult to adjust. The bobbin gets stuck. It's a shame because she was so excited when she opened it, and it comes with all the necessary accessories. But I would not leave a child to use it unaided because of these problems. I will be returning it.

Tension dial not working
Bought this for a chrustmas present for my 9 year old granddaughter and then read the reviews so thought I should try it before giving it to her, after about half an hour of not getting it to work due to the tension not working and snapping the thread took it back for another model of hobbycrafts which is perfect.
There was no problem in changing it the staff were very helpful

Still love Hobbycraft despite this product
Looked a basic simple machine but I had to return the first one and the second one was faulty when we got it out of sealed box. Such a shame as we love Hobbycraft but this will put a child off sewing as the tension on it means the cotton snaps all the time.

I bought this a few days ago and the string they provided is very weak the sewing machine is too slow and repeatedly stopped working do yourself a favour and STAY AWAY

Bought as gift for my grand daughter . Each time it sewed tge needle needed to be rethreaded . Very noisy will return to store
