Overall a good product
This wool is easy to Knit with, I really love the colour and I have not found a colour like this anywhere local before so I was really happy with it, The wool itself is really good quality! However I was slightly disappointed as when I got to the second row of my pieced saw the wool had been joined together near the beginning of the wool, which showed in my work. So if the wool does have joins in it, it would have been better to have been attached in a different more discrete way.

Soft soft soft
Please note I am only a beginner knitter! This wool is super soft, was my first time using this size (12mm) as my sister wanted an extra thick scarf for Christmas and we chose the wool together. In hindsight probably wouldn't use this wool for a scarf again as its very thick and heavy when knitted (thats what she wanted) but would be perfect for a blanket at it knits very well and is really soft !! Colour is great and the finished scarf is looking fab :)

Super soft and such good value for money
Brought this yarn as I love the colour and working with super chunky is always satisfying. Really surprised by the quality of the yarn when I started to use it, it’s soooo soft for acrylic!! I purchased 9 balls of the Paprika in total to make a finger crocheted blanket and was able to make a large throw which covers 2 people for a really affordable price. Super happy with this product, may look to buy other colours from this range.

I'm Not A Knitter.
I'm using this yarn to make a tail for a Cosplay I'm working on, so I can't comment on how this product rates when used traditionally. What I can say is that it is easy to separate, brush out and straighten, and is also super soft if anyone is ever looking for a yarn to make a tail from. It is a bit pricey when comparing to other yarns but because it's chunky it fills out much faster and more effectively than a standard yarn.

Lovely colour
Love the vibrancy of the colour and is super chunky- just what I wanted for the jumper I was knitting. Only issue was when I was sewing the jumper together the yarn was much too thick to thread through the needle and fell apart whilst being threaded through. However yarn is lovely and jumper turned out well. Would recommend, just potentially use another yarn to sew pieces together.

Great product
I’ve recently got into knitting and wanted material that was thick enough so that I was easily able to knit my first project (it was a cute orange beanie in the end). This material is easy to work with and lovely and soft. I used the full 200g to make any hat, and it will certainly to keep me warm during the winter months. Have since purchased more of this in different colours.

Beautiful wool for a therapy blanket
I’m so pleased with the extra chunky terracotta ‘Hug it out’ wool I bought. And the 12mm circular needles that I also bought. As someone who suffers from crippling anxiety, this gives me a focus and helps to calm me. The extra soft super chunky wool has helped me create a beautiful blanket that I am knitting for my sick mother who I know will love it! Thank you Hobbycraft!

Crocheter's delight
The wool is super chunky, but easy to work with. After washing my blanket, the colour remained as intense as when new. Calling the wool brand 'knitcraft' is misleading. Please remember that wool can also be crocheted with, which is my specialism. I would like my craft to be reflected more on your labelling, instead of just seeing the word knitting

Nice yarn!
I bought this for my other half as we've both just gotten into crochet. Using a pattern he got with much thinner yarn, he made an octopus which is approximately 40cm tall (at least 5 times larger than the kit intended). 10/10 would reccomend. My house is slowly filling up with octopi of different sizes and colours, all thanks to Hobbycraft yarn!

Beautiful colour and feel - not stretchy!
I'm new to knitting and wasnt sure what to get to knit a hat with a loom hoop. This wool is a beautiful colour but sadly found once I'd knitted my hat it didnt have much stretch! I unravelled it and balled it back up but if you do nee to do this it starts to separate its strands. Probably a user error but sad I couldn't make my hat!

Great wool but too expensive
I purchased three of these to crochet a chunky blanket, but I found that I couldn’t finish it as the wool is too expensive to keep buying. I also found that on one of the wools there were several knots, like two strands have been tied together? But it is quite nice and heavy wool.

This yarn is gorgeous. It's so soft, warm and cuddly, it also knits up well and incredibly quickly! And the colour is beautiful! Unfortunately I did miscount for my project and will have to buy more - but I'm not really complaining! Highly recommended!

Great value everyday chunky goodness!
This super chunky 'hug it out' yarn was ideal for experimenting with arm knitting (doubled up) and works up really fast. For crocheting the recommendation was a 12mm hook, but I think a 15mm works better. Small range of colours but lovely ones.

Excellent quality wool
I bought this wool to make pumpkins and it’s been perfect for this. I’ve recently started knitting and have used a circular look to help with my projects. I have found this wool easy to use and gave a really nice authentic look to the pumpkin.

Great to work with.
This wool was really easy to work with, and the finished result is attractive. Only problem I’ve had is that I needed more wool than stated on the pattern, although my tension was correct. Very pleased with the product, though.

1st time arm knitting
This wool worked really well for my first attempt at arm knitting. Super chunky and my daughter says the infinity scarf is super warm too.
Cost was reasonable was hoping for a little cheaper but wanted that particular colour.

I bought 5 of these and 5 ‘paprika’ coloured ones and they’re great! I’m knitting a chunky blanket and I was worried the wool would make me itchy or fall apart but it’s so soft and great quality! Will definitely buy again. :)

Great Texture and feel
I love this wool. I've used Petrol blue and Paprika, It's lovely, thick and heavy. I bought it initially to make a cat bed and blanket but if I can get the Petrol Blue again will be making things for me this time !

A very dense wool - more than I expected but this makes it very warm and gives some structure to it. Very nice colours and affordable, would be great for a big heavy blanket. It does shed a little as it's knitted

thiis is my favourite yarn for crochet projects. the colour is great and warm and it's so soft and cozy - if you need to split it for smaller projects then it works well for that as well, still strong.
