Great for painting at home
I love this pad for my toddler so much we had to buy another. It is great for arts and crafts at home as it is quite large and reduces mess elsewhere! The paper is thick enough to use both sides if you wanted to, it isn't the highest quality paper (it's darker paper not plain white), but great for practicing drawing, painting or sticking. We will probably use and replace now as it fits the job every time!

Paper
I am reviewing a pad of paper. What has become of me?
It is a big pad is paper. Particularly good for drawing dinosaurs. Because they are big, aren't they? And giraffes.
Just buy it, guy. It's paper!

More than one type of use
I’m sure this paper is perfect for scribbling and colouring on for kids, however, it is also perfect for making fashion patterns. The paper itself is great quality and durable. The thickness and texture of the paper is perfect for patterns and I’m sure many other things too. Great value! My only wish is that there wasn’t a hole at the top but I understand this is for hanging up.

Used to be better
This is the second one I bought, the paper in the first one was lovely and thick, nice and white. So when it ran out I didn't hesitate buying another. Wish I had looked inside it first, the paper in this one was thinner and no where near as white, more of a recycled off white/brown colour. Still reasonable value but strange how it used to be better.

Im a very mature uni student and often visit your shop for art supplies for my course. The staff are always super helpful and smile a lot which brightens my day.
I have never been disappointed with the products from Hobbycraft.

Great product for the price
Use this pad for anything and everything with my 3 year old
It's big enough that it takes time for him to fill it. We use it for drawing (pen, pencils, crayons), painting (acrylic or watercolours), for stickers and collages.
The paper isn't high quality but that is not what this is used for. Great product for the price

Products are great for my toddler
I bought all these products for my two year old as he loves to get messy and these did not disappoint, chunky crayons are great for him and the size of messy pas was great loads of space to doodle on. Paints hold their colour well and felt tips and pencils work fab too. Would definitely recommend these items

Excellent size!
Bought this for my budding artist! My three year old son, after exhaunting all my A4 sketchpads this made his eyes light up and made him run for his crayon tin!
I shall definatly be returning for more soon as he’s almost come to the end of his current pad and for the fab price I shall buy a few!!

Great paper pad
Brought this to draw a big snowman for pin the nose on the snowman at Christmas. Afterwards I gave it to my niece and nephew they love it because the pages are so big and there are plenty of blank pages to get through. Sharpies and felt tips don't leak through onto the next page either. Great buy.

Awsome for students, not just kids!
I'm currently doing my A levels right now, and there is A LOT of content in my subjects, so the messy pad was great for spider diagrams and process diagrams so I could see everything in one place on one sheet. Will totally use it again next year, and recommended to all my fellow classmates!

The messy pad is being used as an interim to prevent spills onto a table.
The pad holds a number of sheets, ready for testing paints, their consistency and for placing beneath a small piece of work which is being worked on. The marked paper is then used for collage. The paper is strong, and is really interesting to look at when using earthy tones.

Heavier paper than expected
Bought this pad as a cheap means of a game of pictionary. However that felt like a bit of a waste as the paper was much better quality than expected....! Slightly on the grey side but great for kids art and collage or rough planning work. Or pictionary with friends : )

Quality has dropped
What a disappointment when I got this home and opened it up to find the paper was not white, smooth of remotely nice!! Have bought this product previously and loved it for it's quality. They have obviously changed the paper to a much cheaper type.
Won't buy again.

Great size, good quality for money
Affordable and effective. I love I can set this down on my table/desk and my toddler can’t possibly miss it. It’s saved a lot of post art work clean up! I will say markers tend to appear scratchy and uneven on the paper, but it’s great for small kids.

Great value!
This pad is huge and has loads of pages, for the price it's great. The quality of the paper isn't the highest, but for younger kids who like scribbling or older kids who just want something fun to practice writing or drawing this is perfect.

It's worth the price
I bought a sketch book for 2 pounds and the are pages so smooth and it's easy to erase mistakes because of the smoothness of the pages. There's a lot of pages inside the sketch pad so it last a long time and it didnt cost a lot of money

Great for what it us. A bit expensive for the quality.
This pad is great for kids to draw . Paint is a just. The paper isn’t that thick. Marker pens slightly sink through to the next page .pages are hard to rip out.cutting them out is a pain. So a little expensive for what is does.

This is so useful for messy jobs.
Whether gluing, painting, stamping or stencilling, this pad really helps to keep my crafting table clean, and when the top page gets really messy, you just peel it off and throw it away. GREAT FOR KIDS CRAFTING.

Great for kids
I am using these with kids and although the paper if not perfect white it's great for what we're using it for (basic poster and painting etc). Good size and quality for the price so I'm pretty happy with them.

Not just for children
Good quality A 2 sized paper, not just a nice drawing pad for children. Good weight and texture suitable for grown-up charcoal and acrylic sketching. Only drawback is perforated hole at edge of paper.

Nice and thick, good for kids
This paper is good and thick, allowing of childrens' potential over enthusiastic use of paint/water etc. Only negative thing I would say is its a little expensive for the number of sheets you get.

Versatile paper
I really like this paper. It works well with soft pastels and allows me to use several layers and blend. The light gray tone is a good background for most subjects. Good price for an A2 pad.

Does the job well
Lovely large pad with a small hole at top of longest side so that you can hang it to store. Paper is a little grainy and not very thick but great for the price and for messy little ones.

great for letting kids express themselves.
Good for the kids to make a mess on er, I mean paint beautiful pictures on. The paper is un-bleached rather than plain white but much cheaper because of it and i will be buying it again.

Just the job for planning out projects and at an unbelievable low price. Granddaughter claimed it as soon as I put it down. Perfect for aspiring young artists too. Thank you Hobbycraft.

Great value
This A3 drawing pad is great value. It's good to be able to give the kids large sheets of paper so they can be creative.
Great for felt tips and even better it doesn't break the bank!

Nice size, but it's really not white
It's a great size for lots of great artwork from the kids, but the "white" paper is very obviously not white - more of a dirty grey colour. Disappointed by the cheap quality paper.

YAY for the Messy Pad
I use this pad for life drawing, doodles and every day use.
It's a perfect size to leave out of the desk whilst drafting ideas, letting little ones doodle or to tear off sheets.

Just what I needed.
I have not used the paper yet but it was just what I needed for our "Jackson Pollock" painting activity on Brownie Holiday. Seems to be reasonable quality and was a great price.
