Poor opacity.
Used this on top of satin white emulsion on cardboard. Put on two heavy layers and was OK but could still see a bit of white peering through. Would probably work well for stained glass window effect, seemed more like a stain with powder in than a paint.

It was okay
The gold is nice but my only issue is that it’s not pure gold it’s like just gold sparkles you have to give like 6 thin coats or 3 fat coats to make it proper gold. But I do love how they have that colour and it’s not just like yellow or something.

Lovely golden paint!
I am a teacher and brought this paint for making new displays for my topic in September which is Ancient Egypt.
This paint was a perfect golden colour and certainly catches your eye in the classroom! Very happy with my purchase.

As a standalone paint it's quite thin, so you might need to do more than one coat. However, if you mix it with other acrylic paints - especially metallic paints - the large gold flakes can really add some sparkle to your painting.

Proper gold sheen

Fab and shimmery

Excellent coverage and plenty of it.
I have been using this paint for various crafting projects and am very impressed with it. The bottle is a good size at a very affordable price. The paint is nice and thick, covers well and dries to a pleasing "glimmer" as it says on the bottle. It didn't need a second coat to cover recycled boxes that were a bit distressed. I'd happily buy this product again.

Thin and runny, subtler than expected
I was disappointed with how watery this paint is, it’s much thinner than normal paint. It looks much better when mixed with normal paint. I used some yellow poster paint and it came out gold enough, though not as rich as I’d have liked. The shimmer is pretty subtle.

Gold paint - not so gold
I brought this paint hoping that it would come out like it looked in the bottle - an opaque gold colour. Unfortunately, when I used it, it was just clear with gold glitter in it. Not what I was after unfortunately but is good for your standard poster paint.

Great paint!
Used to paint a card box for my wedding. I'd already spray painted in red and wanted the details in gold, and for the price, this worked a treat! Did need a few layers as the brush kept wiping some of the paint off, but really pleased with the end result.

Not great coverage
I was disappointed with the coverage of this paint. I thought it would be quite opaque (as it appears in the bottle) but it is extremely translucent and would need a great number of coats to achieve a gold look. I had to buy another product in the end.

A great selection of paint colours
At the sale price this makes GREAT value for money. The children have been painting their paper mache creations with a selection of these paints and the results are good. For the lighter colours you have to layer up.

People say the cheapest is the worst, well their not. Bought these thinking the bristles are going to fall out but they didn't, they did the job that needed and they are still doing the job. My kids love them

Thinner than expected but lovely shimmer
This came up much thinner than I thought it would and we needed a few coats to get a good solid gold. However would be great for adding a gold sheen to another colour and the solid gold worked well enough.

Great colour
This paint is a great colour. It has a good consistency, not too runny which I have found with alternative brands. The only downside is that once spread it can loose it's colour pigment becoming faded.

I needed several coats of this paint to get the coverage I liked. Although it does say a shimmer paint so maybe it is supposed to be more of an additional top coat rather than a block colour.

great metallic looking paint - but you do need a couple of layers for a solid gold look finish, we painted paper plates and added jewels as part of an Egyptian costume for school

Good for general kids use
Decent paint, a bit thin thought when used, needed a few layers to build up a good gold colour. Very cheap and a big bottle though so this makes up for it.
