Does what it needs to and great value
Works as it should do and always have done without issues, I only bought a new once recently as we were moving house and it had already been packed when I had to make a birthday cake for my nephew. Definitely makes levelling cakes a much easier chore to do.

Works really well
Does what it says on the tin, worked brilliantly for cutting my cake in half neatly. The only issue was how you adjust the height, as that is a bit fiddly. Other than that, it was just what I needed. Just make sure it's the right width for your cake!

Absolutely useless
I bought this to make my cakes super level as I'm going to attempt a multi-level cake. I did a practice run and couldn't even get the leveller to start cutting through the cake. It just doesn't work at all. Went back to my trusty bread knife instead

Tricky to use
I found this quite tricky to use, had to put a lot of pressure on the cake for it to do the initial cut (I chose to score the second cake with a knife to get it started). It did level the cake and seemed to work well once I got the hang of it

Fabulous
Don’t know how I ever made cakes without this. It’s fantastic and so easy to use. Easily changes height. Just wish it had numbers on the notches to make it easier to line up both sides correctly. Otherwise it’s great highly recommended.

Easy to use!
I've been looking for one of these for a while. This cake leveller is really easy to use and make my cakes look really good when covered with ganache or fondant icing. Hobbycraft have an excellent baking range, with everything I need.

Great product
Have always struggled slicing a cake through lengthwise and had to make a large cake for my granddaughter’s 21st so decided to try one of these. Absolutely fantastic! It cuts through so easily and each sponge is even and same depth.

Fabulous kit
This item, particularly for the price it is, is fantastic and most definitely worth it. Once you have used a cake leveller you will never go back to using just a serrated knife to make layer cakes. Definitely would recommend this!

Cake leveller
It's exactly what I needed to help level off my cakes however I did find it a little difficult to use the wire didn't seem sharp enough to cut through the cake. Overall very useful tool and did help me to my finished result.

Its better than cheaper ones.
Usually i buy the cheap version but the wire is never stong enough to last it ends up being bendy, i used this one and it cut a perfectly straight line through the cake i am extremly pleased with the outcome.

I've always used a knife to level my cakes ... they were never that level... saw this product in hobbycraft at a great price and purchased it ... so much easier and great level cakes .. highly recommended

This product is exactly what I wanted.
This product is exactly what I wanted and does the job brilliantly. The notches down the side of the saw are ideal to adjust the height of the wire to be exactly the height to trim any cake.

easy storage and light weight
