Very convenient
First time I've used royal icing so bought both ready made and powder tried both although the powder is hard work to mix up they're just the same but the ready made is much more convenient!

Perfect, just what I needed.
Hi, this product was exactly what I needed for the job that I had to do. I live in a flat, where there isn't enough room to make a lot of mess. This was clean and easy to use.

This icing saved the day. had covered my cake in buttercream, and ready to roll icing.....but it all fell off....then tried to mix a fondant which was a disaster, i had this to hand as a last resort and it covered the cake, patched up all the mistakes and set beautifully. Thankyou

What a find!
Instead of having to make a big batch of royal icing that won't keep just to accommodate the egg white when I only want a little for piping, now I can just take exactly the amount I need from this premade tub which keeps perfectly what I don't immediately need.

Initially disappointed with this product as I expected it to set hard overnight, like royal icing does, but it took several days to really harden up enough to decorate over it.
Personally I'd rather make my own royal icing but a useful product if you have the time to wait for it to dry thoroughly!

Once used nothing else will do!
This fabulous time saving and foolproof icing is a Christmas must-have!
My friend introduced me to it a few years ago and it is just brilliant! Ready to use and easy to apply, this year we struggled to find it but our new Hobbycraft saved the day!
Definitely recommend.

Excellent product
Great alternative to home made Royal icing. Consistency is fairly stiff but when thinned down slightly it was perfect for piping even when using a small (no 1) writing tube. I will definitely use this again when short of time.

Royal Icing
I have never used royal icing so decided this would be a good way to start.
Project gingerbread house.
Not at all experienced with piping and my first attempt I found the icing to be too firm.
No fault of the product just need more practice. Once I have the consistency right Im on my way.
The icing has a pleasant taste and can be used sparingly.
Would definitely purchase again.

Arrived broken, lids terrible.
Bought for Christmas cookies to save time. The icing itself colored easily, and was of a good consistency, but both of the tubs I bought arrived broken, the lids are very flimsy and not really fit for purpose. It's just as well they'll be used up in one go, as they'll soon be completely hard. If there was time to order more I'd have sent them back. Disappointing.

I brought this as I needed a strong ‘cake glue’ as I needed to stick a sugar paste plague to the side of a cake.
You need to thoroughly mix it to resemble royal icing and add a touch of hot water so you can pipe it.
Ideally, I would have liked a smaller tub however still beats mixing a batch up yourself!

Perfect instant royal icing
So easy to use. Great for sticking birthday cakes to cake boards and attaching decorative items to cakes
So much easier than making your self when you only need a small quantities. Highly recommend it. Would definitely buy again

Perfect cheat!
Had all the intentions of making my own royal icing but I also have a 1 yr old and limited time so I brought this, and it saved so much time. Mixed so easily and was easy to get to the consistency I wanted so I was easily able to decorate my home made biscuits, and I’ve brought more since!

Good handy to use icing
Although I usually make royal icing, I use this regularly when I want small amounts so I don’t waste a whole egg and icing sugar. It tastes good, it’s easy to colour and the consistency is perfect for piping, spreading or sticking icing or fondant flowers on to a cake.

Renshaw Royal Icing. Exactly what was required
Bought to make a gingerbread house as last years one was a disaster because I made my own icing.
Renshaws royal icing was perfect to glue the house together, easy to use and tasted superb. Added colour to some and used it toice some biscuits too. Excellent product.

Ruined a wedding cake
I applied a thin layer of this to my friends wedding cake and 3 days later it still had not set hard. I had marzipaned and left to dry and even put a fan on the cake but to no avail. Ended up with sticky icing on wedding cake which was so embarrassing

I would not buy this again.
I bought this to save me some time when icing Christmas Cakes. After mixing well I transferred it into an icing bag. It was not fit for purpose! I couldn’t squeeze the icing out of the bag as it was so thick. I ended up throwing both tubs away!

I bought this thinking it would be time saving & easy to use. I found it difficult to get the correct consistency for piping. Too stiff straight from the pot but hard to judge how much water to add to get it just right.
