Do not buy poor performance with embroidery
I bought this not long ago the sewing side fine hence the 1 star the embroidery side not so much even after following the online manual for setting it up to embroider it only managed one tiny project out the 4 I tried. The other 3 it snapped the cotton not long into the pattern as it had pulled the tread so tight this resulted in the fabric been tore !
Be also prepared buy stabiliser for your projects which was never Sid at point of sale which should be. I sourced this from else where. This machine I wouldn’t even think bout buying as I returned mine I wouldn’t even consider this machine at all if your thinking of trying machine embroidery it’s performance was so poor and the results spoke volumes to me. I would definitely do your research into other machines

Not compatible with apple software
Not at all compatible with apple software. See if you can download EZ design before you buy this if you want to make your own embroidery designs.

Not recommended for embroidery
Only purchase 3 days ago it’s been returned as a sewing machine it worked perfectly but as the embroidery machine not so. It achieved one small project out of the four I did. The other three it continually snapped the cotton using 100% cotton and 100% polyester it’s wrapped the cotton around the holder the last time it was used. As the machine is programmed to keep going it ripped the fabric. . I purchased the recommended stabiliser as stated in the online manual all before I even used the embroidery side of this machine. You have no control over the speed it embroiders at
I’m an experienced sewer however this machine I found unworkable for embroidery which it was it bought to do the sewing side was a welcome extra if my actual machine broke down.
The 2 stars are for its sewing ability not the embroidery ability. I don’t recommend this machine for embroidery

I really wanted to fall in love with this machine!
I bought this machine 6 days ago, as a sewing machine it's great, there's no issues there. The embroidery side of it had me literally saying grrrr and pulling my hair out! The designs built into the machine were mostly no problem, except you can't change the sizing of many designs, this was frustrating especially when it came to lettering. It creates lovely borders but you can't add lettering to it and stops sewing when the spool is still half full saying its empty hence wasting half a spool of cotton. EZ design wouldn't work on my tablet or phone so, after finding the charger for my laptop, I accessed it. On EZ design there is only 1 option for fonts, I eventually figured out after much frustration how to put different files on there..so great..or so I thought.. Now, the main reason I can't deal with the frustration of the machine.. it was embroidering quite happily away it seemed, then started stitching really fast, a mass of cotton got caught up in the mechanism below, ruined the embroidery and ruined the fabric I was using. I put this down as a blip, continued my frustration in trying to add different fonts to Ez design(no joy!) gave up with that, tried to comfort myself with trying another beautiful piece of embroidery (which I know it CAN do) and it ruined another project by speeding up again, sewing multiple stitches on top of each other and getting stuck again on the mechanism below. I really don't want to give up on this machine but if i cant figure out how to put right whats wrong then its not worth the frustration. I think the biggest issue is the lack of information online. Yes, there's an online manual which gives in detail all the basics of the machine but when you need a little extra help there's nothing out there. The hobbycraft staff are AMAZING and shout out to Frankie in the Purley Way store who not only came off her lunch to help me but spent her own time trying to research information..thank you to you! There was no one in 2 stores that had training on this machine, I think it can't be a very old machine, or maybe just not popular? considering the lack of online information available.
I think from Silvers side, they need to send out reps to Hobbycraft stores and train them well, put more troubleshooting videos out there..just get more info out there.
