Very handy item
These little sketchbooks are just what's needed when you want to carry a lightweight bag and draw and sketch outside without a load of weighty equipment. If you have roomy pockets one would fit in easily. The paper is good quality, so far I've only used pencil but it should be OK for pen or gouache or watercolour too. A good buy at a good price.

Awesome multi purpose sketch pad!
I have used these for my own sketches and notes and also in bulk for children's crafting parties, they are great value and fun to decorate and personalise the covers. They are also good strong paper and can handle young children intensely creating on them with marker pens!

This product 'ticked all the boxes'
This was an inexpensive buy to try an art challenge to sketch one specific item per day. Size makes it easy to carry in a handbag for those 'stolen moments' of mindfulness.

Good product
I was originally after a blank flip book to create a little animation however, this is the smallest and thinnest paper book I could find. It does the job but the pages are a little thick still. If you're buying this for its actual purpose of a sketchbook though, it's really good for the price and the fact the pages are a little thicker would be a great thing.

Very good quality and value
I purchased 20 of these A5 Sketchbooks for inclusion into children's party gift packs.
The size and paper quality is very good at 140gsm for writing and especially drawing all at a economic price (at this time) :)..
Plus they are manufactured in the UK.
Also arrived 2 days following order.
Overall very pleased with this purchase.

my surprize at the quality of value products at hobbycraft
I have had a few products from hobbycraft over the last few weeks and I am really please with them,I thought my value range products were to a high standard .the oil pastels'
have a good strong pigment unlike other value before
I was only using this value range to experiment but I will be using them again.

Better than expected
I bought this as a back up sketch pad but have, in fact, created quality work on it.
I would have preferred each side of the book to be bound separately for ease of removing, as it stands its an A4 piece folded and bound in the centre.
Used with oil pastels and pencil with good results.

Perfect for on the go!
This sketchbook is amazing to take on journeys to sketch observations or random ideas, it holds ink very well and can even handle watercolour washes. Highly recommend for any artists wanting to improve observation or media testing as this sketchbook is super affordable :)

These sketchbooks are perfect for quick doodles, paintings and easy to carry in yuor handbag. The quality of the paper is amazing. For the price, it is SO worth buying. I use mine as an Art journal and "listers gotta list" which they work perfectly for.

Great for beginners!
This sketchbook is an amazing book to use for beginners. The paper can withstand watercolours, coloured pencils and pens and anything graphite. It's also great with copic markers as it doesnt bleed through as heavily as normal paper.

Excellent quality paper note book for use with any variety of media
Great go to note book for experimenting with paint, glue, stencils. Good quality paper that is thick enough to cope with all media thrown at it and repeated wetting. Amazing value and worth considering for children's craft projects.

These little books are perfect to carry out and about to sketch on the go. The paper quality is great - really thick and the pencil glides nicely on it too. Feels like it would be good to paint with too.

Great paper
Great paper for markers and posca pens but I would not use water based products with it.
It's a rudder type of paper so when using pens and posca pens use a lighter hand, else it will ruin the pen.

Finding a decent sketchbook can be expensive but this range is both affordable and good quality. If a hardback is priority then this book offers good quality paper for drawing. I would recommend it

A great little sketchpad.
Little enough to pop in your bag, is plain brown on the front and back cover so you're able to design/decorate those as you wish, this is great for individuality. A great little sketchpad.

Good quality paper for the price
I cut these books in half to make small, portable design/sketchbooks and it worked wonderfully. The staples were secure enough to allow this and hold together. Very pleased.

GOOD QUALITY PAPER AT A REASONABLE PRICE
I have bought 6 of these so far ... enough said! Great price for the quality. A stitched spine version would be good too, as long as it didn't add too much to the cost.
