Great product
Not had much experience with clay before so this was a good affordable introduction, used it to make Christmas decorations and they've turned out pretty well! Great value.

Hobby Craft Air drying Clay
The clay offers an almost putty feel and is pliable and rich, great for sculpting. Like most Air drying clays, you have to work quickly, due to fast dry and although dries pretty quickly, some cracking will appear due to shrinkage in the drying process. I wanted to see if the clay was suitable for larger scale pieces. I built up in layers, on top of an armature, leaving each layer until almost dry. I repaired any cracks and added detail. When dry, I used acrylic paints and PVA Glue to strengthen it. It did work, but had to be reinforced. I would say, small to medium simlpvm sculptures are best, but overall, a nice product, very cost effect and sturdy for small scale work ..

Perfect for incense holder
Got bored in quarantine and on tik tok everyone is selling clay earrings and incense folder so I thought I might give it a go and bought some. ITS PERFECT! No need for an oven just need some patients when it comes to drying!

Great for Christmas tree decorations

Clay is fine - but special price not honoured
I bought two packs of this clay. Should have been £3.75 each or two for £6 according to the shelf. This clay was for my son who is a student and the student discount was applied - however, I only noticed after leaving the store that I had been charged £3.38 for one pack and £3.37 for the other pack - a total of £6.75. It should have been £6.00 minus the student discount. I am consistently annoyed by the tills at Hobbycraft which don't very often don't recognise shelf prices. The prices are high enough without this all the time.

Perfect for my fairy houses
It’s a good reasonably priced air dry clay ..I’ve brought several packs , I make fairy gardens and have made everything from the house to a tiny garden spade..it doesn’t dry out too quickly ..

I bought this as an alternative to the DAS air dry clay, to make small Christmas ornaments for my family, and I am quite disappointed. Firstly I found this clay VERY wet and sticky, a problem I never found with the other brand. This made it extremely hard for me to use and took a lot longer to make what I wanted. Secondly, it takes AGES to dry. I usually leave over night and it’s then ready to neaten up the edges but this took about 3 days to even do that. In future I will stick to the other brand. I wont be purchasing again.

Just what I was looking for :)
Brought this for modelling with my 4yo daughter. It is exactly what I wanted & was easy to find in the store.
During use it was lightweight & easily malleable, even for small hands!
The residue washed easily off our hands & from my daughter’s clothes!
It left a lovely smooth surface to the models, which really helped with painting, which was earlier today, incidentally!
It took acrylic paint well & being white, it didn’t interfere with the colours.
It feels strong, now that the models have dried out too, which is very pleasing.
I would definitely recommend this product.

Awful Product
I bought some of this late last year, as it was cheaper than the Das brand and assumed the quality would be as good. It wasn't. The clay was very wet and could not be used, could not be moulded and didn't dry. Awful, terrible product. I have now reverted to using Das air drying clay, which is far superior and excellent quality. Seriously, do not waste your hard-earned money on the Hobbycraft version. Never again. I'm only giving 1 star in all areas as I cannot do no stars, which this deserves

Finished product looks good
I have worked with clay,but not air drying clay.
I bought the air drying clay because I do not have a kiln,and I liked the fact I could leave it to dry.
It does take longer to dry I found,however the finished item looks good,and is firm.
The clay itself is quite sticky,it does stick to wood (rolling pin) and plastic,but was not too messy.I found it worked well between two sheets of plastic sheet to roll,and gently peeled away.
I used the cookie stamps in the clay which worked well.

Brilliant deals and super easy to use.
I bought this clay as an experiment last time and was delighted to find it on offer when I went to get more.
It’s easy to use and dries slowly enough to work a piece but dries solid overnight on the size of figures I am making.
If you want to come back to work, wrapping it in a wet paper towel and a plastic bag keeps it pliable for days.

This product is great for Kids
I bought this air dry clay as I am a Cub Scout leader and thought it would be great for them to make a model for their Artist badge and I wasn't wrong, they absolutely loved it. It moulds very easily and washes off your hands and you are able to paint/colour it when dry. We had lots of great idea from the Kids. Would highly recommend.

Easy and fun to use.
Had a great time using this clay, everybody got involved and each wanted to make the best item! We made coasters, hanging ornaments, a model of a bear ( winner) and a lidded pot, let them dry and then painted them and sealed them. Tip is to place on cling film while drying so your creation does not stick to table.

So much fun and water helps keep it neat
I had never used Air drying clay before buying this. Its really fun and I am making a few of my Christmas presents with it this year. It takes a while to dry but it does explain this on the packet. The only thing I have noticed is that is kind of curves as it dries, but I've found you can push it gently flat again as long as it's not completely set.
Using a little bit of water on your tools or fingers helps smooth it out or create neat carvings in the clay.

Good but a bit sticky
This air dry clay works well but was a bit too sticky - more so than other brands. I was using it to make clay ornaments and found it stuck to the rolling pin and wasn’t as smooth as those I had made with a different pack. This could have been partly because it was a fresh pack.

Fantastic product
I love using this product, as it is simple to use. This is the third time I have purchased this clay and it has been use to make lots of beautiful tree decorations. I would recommend this product to others and it is great for childrens crafting activities.

all product bought from Hobby Craft..
the Clay was brilliant to work with and paint on! ( I used the white clay)
Just don’t dry it too quickly, as it will crack!
Dry at room temperature.

Love this clay, I’m on my 6th bag this month from hobby craft! Clay drys beautifully and a lovely white colour: I sometimes use hairdryer to speed up the process too. Great value for money, cheapest I can find anywhere

This product is a great size and value
I bought this clay for my elderly mother so that she could get creative.
It's also helping to keep her hands and fingers moving.
With the clay being air dry she can easily complete her models in super time.

Messy & Hard To Work With
I bought this air dry clay to make hand print christmas ornaments with my nephew. We originally tried to make salt dough which turned out horribly so we tried air dry clay in hopes to get better results. When opening the packet, we found that this clay is incredibly sticky and stuck to our table leaving clay residue everywhere! It was also incredibly hard to roll out as one slab. We also had difficulty trying to peel off our designs from our kitchen surface as the kept clay ripping. Once we finally got a few designs on our tray that worked, it took over 72 hours to dry completely before we could paint them. I wouldn't recommend this clay to anyone making crafts with younger children as it is incredibly messy and hard to work with.

Extreme fun
Bought the white air dry clay, it's so much fun. My partner and I had an afternoon on a weekend making random things like candle holder, incense holder and cute characters. We painted them after it's dried next day. Next time we are thinking to buy Plaster of Paris Bandage to try making hand sculptures. Definitely would suggest this product as it can keep your afternoon busy doing something other then watching tv! Peace!
