Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice product but no instructions !! This cake tin should allow you to make every number and letter, but you would think some instructions would be included the box shows you how to set the mould up for a 'z' cake but that's it !! My mould is now pretty useless !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product! I was a bit sceptical of this product reading the reviews what people was saying that it doesn’t work very well, I found it works better using all the mixture then cutting the shape out of all the mix. At first I didn’t know there was a letter book showing you how to cut the shape but second time around my letter was a lot better! Would definitely recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Baked a lovely number 1 cake so far but instructions don't tell you how to arrange the inserts for each letter so it was a bit of guess work.. can imagine this is an issue for letters like W, G,K etc.. also doesn't say how much mix to use so guessed that too. Baked a lovely cake though!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Versatile tin but no instructions This is a useful tin if you make letter or number cakes, but also useful for any unusual shape that you would end up cutting a rectangle to achieve, eg cricket bat, wine bottle etc. But the big downside is that the instruction leaflet that shows you how to make each and every letter and number is missing (was missing from every box in the store where I shopped). Some of the letters eg M, W are not obvious how you make them,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Tin What an amazing product, up until now I have been hand carving numbers which amounts to a lot of time and wasted cake offcuts (or chefs treats) but now I can make the right amount and shape of cake in half the time. Bonus, it was actually non stick!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A good idea A good idea, cakes very big, so with 2 numbers a lot of cake. Feel it could do with more information for numbers etc.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as good as it appears I ended up taking this back as soon as I checked it out at home. Very flimsy and would make very strange sized cakes

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this cake tin! I bought this a year ago to make my sons 3rd and daughters 1st bday cakes. Ive read some reviews that the cakes stick or that the block placements are flimsy and need weighing down... i used baking paper on the bottom of the pan and then put the inserts on top in the right places and ive never had any problems. You get a few blobs that leak through and the fact that the inserts dont touch the pan isnt a problem. Once baked get the cake out carefully and trim it... you cant expect perfection instantly. Once youve tidied it up its amazing... and to make a good size cake i used 3 boxes of cake mix for one cake and used a cake cutter to cut in hal. Just need patience. I was lucky to get the instructions though so thats a bonus. Just make sure the cake isnt stuck to the inserts before pulling them out. And using 3 boxes of mix it will spill over the inserts but its still easy to sort out. See pic of cake for the other halfs bday last month....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use I brought this to make a 70th birthday cake fantastic cake tin I greased the tin and lining with grease prof paper, the cake was really easy to remove from the tin once cooked. The only down side is Hobby Craft need to sell slightly bigger cake boards as couldn’t fit the 7 and 0 on one board had to do two separate boards:

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Missing instructions but solved... Be aware when ordering (as I was when I bought this item online), there are limited instructions inside but the pages showing you how to actual make each letter are not included. I emailed Hobbycraft and was sent the missing paperwork, though this of course took time, so you can't use immediately very easily! I haven't used yet but was a bit surprised to see that you don't just use the shapes to make the actual letter, you use the shapes to make a close version of the letter (as shown) then after baking you use the cutters applied to further cut the cake so the letter is a more exact shape. While initially I was disappointed to see that it had to be cut after baking, I can see that this would give a much more definitive and honed shape. So seems the best way to get a nice clean shape. As well as the letters you have instructions for numbers, !# and other symbols which is nice. Really a very good idea for those like me who have hired various number tins over the years!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great cake pan for birthday cakes I bought this cake tin to make a four for a fourth birthday party. The instructions are very clear and although initially I was a bit sceptical (because the pieces to make the letter and number shapes don’t sit flush to the sides of the cake tin) it actually worked brilliantly. There is a little bit of seepage round the side but it’s able to be cut off really easily as it turns crispy anyway. The pieces and tin are absolutely non-stick and everything just slides out. What’s quite clever is the waffle pattern on the bottom of the tin so if you actually don’t use the pieces you could bake a mix in the entire tin and use the waffle square shapes as a guide to cut out any shape after baking. I recommend using pieces though! The cake I made about 25 portions - the 4 shape takes out quite a lot of mix so a little too small for a big celebration cake in my opinion. I used my standard cake mix so nothing special and it was perfect. (I would usually use a bigger mix for a birthday cake)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant idea! This tin is great, there's so many things you could bake with it other than just numbers and letters. I purchased it to make my daughter's 1st birthday cake and the practice cake came out perfectly. It didn't come with instructions so I messaged Hobbycraft online and they emailed me them within the hour. Highly recommended

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks good Haven't used my tin yet, but as other reviews said no instructions included, I email the company and within two days they sent me the instructions and apologised for their mistake.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shallow pan The pan is great, I'm able to make numbers and letters etc. However, the pan is shallow, if you want a cake that's big you have to stack them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely set A really lovely set. Giving this as a gift to someone as they have made such lovely cakes for me and my family. Adding this set to their collection will be so good as they will have a chance to expand on their baking and make numbered and lettered cakes. This set will be really good for them to bake cakes and create lovely designs with icing. I’m sure they will be really pleased with this gift.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant and so easy to use I was asked to make a chocolate 21st Birthday cake at the last minute and had no time to really plan what I was going to do. I found this tin in Hobbycraft and wow I am really impressed. I had to look for instructions on the internet as there are none in the box but once you have them, it is so easy. Perfect cakes that everyone was really impressed with. Would definitely recommend. Cakes do not stick if you prepare tin really well. Squares make it so easy to cut shape required. Would give this a 10 if the instructions were in the box.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Well made tin I brought this tin because it was on offer and it looked really useful. The tin is well made but I would have liked a recipe because the tin is so large that I have no idea about quantities etc. I would also like a guide to making the letters and numbers using the different shaped inserts. I went onto the Wilton web site but there was no help there. Very disappointed .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tin to save money Very pleased with my purchase, what a clever idea to be able to make any letter or number with one cake tin. Have made the number 5 and delighted with the result just the right size.only down side is no instructions for the amount of cake mix required had to look this up on the internet, would be very useful if it came with the tin.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Alphabet cake pan Like the idea of the cake pan, but no guidance so have to use your own wits, shame. Paid £20 plus £1 for placing order, went into shop to collect, there it was for £20, so actually paid £1 extra. Unfortunately, almost the week after, it was on sale for £10, so I actually paid £11 more than was necessary, even bigger shame

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must buy for all your celebrations Who knew one tin could create some many creations. That is why it is called countless. I have created a number 13 cake and initials cake. It is simple to use with clear instructions on where to place the inserts. It worth every penny and you will use again and again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is a brilliant idea I love this product it's easy to use saves buying loads of trays as number and letters can be done all in the one product though blocks do not sit in the grids snuggly and some cake batter does go through them but can be removed when cooked it's a very amazing item

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Instructions please. This cake pan is fab although not included are instructions to make the numbers and letters. Had to Google and then contact Wilton through Facebook and ask for instructions which were then sent as pdf. Now, the pan is much easier to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant purchase I bought this cake tin for making a number 24 birthday cake. It was very easy to use, the numbers came out perfectly shaped and didn’t stick to the tin. Looking forward to using this again to make many other letters and numbers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great. Use this to make a number 1 for my daughters 1st birthday. Turned out really good. Only problem is, is it got stuck on the bottom so I put banking paper on the bottom end then worked great

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy peasy Their pan set is really easy to use. I bought it to make a 16th birthday cake and it worked like a charm. I was worried about leaking and the batter sticking to the sides, but had no problems. Only reason I gave 4 stars is it doesn't tell you in the instructions how much batter you need to fill the tin for a good rise on the cake. I just made a plain sponge to start with and topped it up til I thought it was enough. Good purchase and very happy with the way the cakes have turned out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! Makes wonderful uniform cakes! Can use this countless times for any name or age or saying. Very happy, whilst the price seems a little high, the cost is made back again and again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I bought this item with a view to making a cake for an 18th birthday. I started with the No 1 Having followed ALL the instructions I was unable to release the cake from the tin and realised that the base and each section would have to be greased AND covered in grease proof paper on the inside, i decided that the No 8 would be a nightmare to make, without even the surety that it wouldn't break (as the No 1 had) I don't think I will ever use the thing again. Im very disappointed
