Really worth the money and the best I’ve used
This is a very worth it food colouring set. The colours are so bright and vibrant. It has an array of colours and if it’s not the exact shade you want you can also mix them. It works well with whipped cream, buttercream and any frosting you can really use. I really needed a pigmented blue for some Cookie Monster cupcakes I needed to make and this gave it the perfect blue colour with only a few drops. Absolutely amazing, very satisfied and excited for what to make in the future.

Amazing!
I’ve used these before and will continue using them unless I find something better, which is yet to happen. As an experienced baker I’ve tried many food colourings and these are by far the best I’ve ever used.
You only require a small amount of the food gel and the colours are beautiful. They last so long!!

Great quality colours
I needed to restock some of my food colourings and had planned to buy 4 or 5 pots of these colours as they last for so long.
These colours are very strong so you only need to add a small amount at a time.
I always leave the inner foil on and just make a small hole in it with a cocktail stick which I then use to add small amounts to the icing, play dough etc. until I have the right shade.
I changed my mind when I saw the fantastic saving on this box of 8 pots compared to buying single pots.
I am very happy both with the quality of the colours and the bargain price.

Brilliant!
Love love love these! I had a go at making different colours and they came out lovely. I think it’s great that over a few hours the colour really develops, a little goes a long way. You can always add more if needed once you’ve waited a while for it to develop.

Lovely colours
I have found these good but to get bright purple for example you need to use a lot of it, which could end up quite costly. Also use gloves as it stains badly.

Disappointed
I am disappointed the expiry date on the product pack I received only gives me 4 months to use. As a home baker this is an impossible ask. Checking the manufacturer website it says shelf life should be around 36 months, therefore I would hope Hobbycraft will give consumers at least 18 months. I queried this and I was told it is not short.

Perfect very pigmented
Perfect and easy to use, a little goes a longggg way with these, they are very pigmented and give a good colour
I recommend wearing gloves when using them as the colour can stain your hands (I spilt some of the yellow on my hands and it's not a good look hahaha!)

Incredible colour
Bought these icing colours in a rush for some cakes I was making for a school fair. Genuinely shocked when I mixed the tiniest amount of colour into the icing it was so pigmented and bright I loved it. Went down great with the kids ! Super pleased:)

Excellent product
I live making rainbow cake and no other food colouring has come close to producing such vibrant colours. They are not cheap but if you need strong colours for icing they're worth it. You don't need much to get great colours.

Very short shelf life
I recommend buying from elsewhere. I received these yesterday and they have a very short shelf life. Only 3 months. This should have been stated on the website. If I knew I would not have ordered them. Very disappointed!!

Great colours and super vibrant.
Really love all of these colours, they work really well in cake mix, butter icing and royal icing. Very vibrant colours and easy to use. They are also easy clean off any surfaces and hands.

Bought them, didnt check the date but they were very nearly out of date. Not happy that ive now only had one use out of some, and some are unopened but cannot be used.

These were already out of date when i purchased them so were no use to me and went in the bin ,
Brought more from elsewhere and the colours are intense so a 5 for the actual product but a rating of 3 as they were already out of date when i purchased so i couldnt use them and had to buy some more

Expiration date
It’s a lot of money for a pack of icing colours that all expire in just over a month. You would hardly get any use from them. Such a shame, all packs were the same and I looked at 2 separate hobbycraft stores. Had to purchase as needed multiple colours for a cake but sadly won’t get anymore use out of them as they are soon expiring.

Product is great value
Excellent customer service as always from Hobby Craft. The shop felt safe in the current climate, clearly marked where to go, sanitising station and the staff were protected by counter screens. As always I find the choice and value fantastic. Unfortunately there is no Hobby Craft Shop here in Elgin, so can only visit the one in Inverness and Aberdeen although I have purchased online too!

excellent colour pallet
Love this set have purchased previously and just rebought again need only a tiny bit of liquid for the most vibrant of colours i used a cocktail stick to add a little at a time to build on colour and get the perfect shade would definitely recommend and purchase again. great choice of colours and they mix well to form other colours. make sure you store the box upright while not using
