so soft and silky
Lovely yarn to work with, only downside is it does tend to split when working it but on the plus side, creates a gorgeous piece of work. Lovely colours too.

just the job
Bought this yarn to complement the random dyed blue yarn I previously purchased. It is going to make me a very smart sweater for the colder months. Great!!

This product is a great colour and really soft
Easy to knit with. There is a good range of colours which I shall be buying in the future. Makes even my knitting look neat.

Very soft
Supersoft wool to knit with. It's a pity that there is such a small range of colours

Poor Quality now.
I buy a lot of the WI 4 Ply but just received my latest order and very disappointed with the feel of it. Usually has a nice soft silky feel but now it has quite a rough feel to it. Nothing like it was originally. Sorry but I won't be buying anymore if its going to be like this now. Definitely not worth the price it is now even at 3 for 2.

Disappointing yarn
I bought this yarn partly because it was endorsed by the Women's Institute, but was disappointed with the way the yarn knitted up - rather than a tightly plied yarn, it was constantly splitting into its 4 component yarns, making it difficult to knit with. I wish I hadn't bought it. PLEASE stock a range of fine WOOL.

Lovely yarn and easy to work with, nice results.
This yarn is very easy to work with and knits up really lovely.
I have knitted a child's dress with this yarn and am very pleased with the results.
The only downfall was that there is a slight stain on the wool throughout one of the balls but hopefully this isn,t too noticeable.

good colour and soft sheen
Beautiful soft blue in colour and much better and cleaner hue than any baby wool... Yarn required for Baby jumper... Which I've found to have a greyish tinge. Because of the soft sheen even a basic rib pattern has a lacy appearance. Thumbs up to women's institute wool!!

Very soft
This yarn is a dream to work with, it's as it says on the label "soft and silky". I've used this yarn a number of times, and will continue to buy it because it's so nice to work with and the end product is beautiful to have next to the skin. Thank you WI and Hobbycraft

It Really is Soft & Silky
Bought this yarn in blue and white to knit baby aran & lace cardigans. Great to work with and gives good definition to the aran patterns. I used more yarn than expected and had to start a second ball to complete a first six baby cardigan. Will definitely buy again

love the feel
knits well and has a good finish. The colour is great for a new baby. The only draw back was a knot in the yarn that would not have looked or felt good, so had to undo most of the row to get the knot left on yarn at the side. Overall good value and quality

Buttery soft yarn
I used this yarn to crochet a baby blanket, it's buttery soft and has a lovely sheen to it as well as being very soft. The only thing you have to watch is that the strands tend to split. This wouldn't be a problem if you were to knit rather than crochet.

Inclined to split but result worth the extra care
I used the WI 4 ply Soft & Silky yarn to make a sweater in Tunisian crochet. I like the silky feel and the sheen, but it is inclined to split and I had to be very careful when crocheting it. Loving the result though, so it was worth the effort.

Love this wool
Love this wool… I’ve made quite a few baby blankets out of this wool now and they come out absolutely gorgeous .. it’s right what it says ‘soft and silky’ just perfect for a new baby. So pretty and easy to use. Will definitely be purchasing more.

Lovely for baby things
This yarn has a lovely sheen and softness to it. I used a 3 hook and crocheted a small size baby blanket. It turned out really nice, the yarn is a little bit splitty though so you need to be careful when crocheting with it. I'll use it again.

Beautiful soft silky wool
I was looking for a silky 4ply wool to make a crochet shawl.I would have liked pale grey but was unable to find that shade.I thought the pale blue would also look good so bought that. The price was also good with a three for two offer.

Womens Institute Yarn
This yarn is 'value for money'. I particularly like the feel of it when knitting or crocheting.
It is what it states 'silky and smooth' and gives nice sheen like finish to the work.
The curent 3 for 2 offer works for me aswell.

Gorgeous yarn!
I use Soft and Silky to crochet baby blankets, never been disappointed. It really is soft and silky, crochets really well, with good stitch definition and washes in the machine on 30 degrees with no bobbling. Thoroughly recommend.

Silky soft yarn
This is a lovely yarn to work with and looks as though it was more expensive when made up. However I am nearing the end of the 2nd ball and both balls have had several faults in them hence I am having to keep cutting and joining

Good value, lovely to work with.
I have bought lots of this wool. I enjoy working with it, it feels soft and silky so lives up to its name. I have crocheted scarves, tiny owls and many, many blankets! Great value, lovely finish. I will definitely buy more.

So soft
I buy a couple of balls of this whenever it’s on 3 for 2. I am looking to knit a striped jumper so I have lots of colours. It also came in handy when I was asked to knit a baby hat. It is so soft and easy to work with.

Good value yarn with a lovely feel.
Have used various colours of this yarn before and always know how good the results will be. It's soft and always knits to the right tension. The colours are vibrant and work well in a multicoloured project.

Very soft
The yarn consists of 100% Microfiber which makes it an ultra soft yarn and I can't wait to knit with it. It's 40°C machine washable, which makes it perfect for baby garments and the colour is beautiful.

4ply wool
Beautiful soft wool, very nice to work with, although I did find it freyed sometimes and I found unexpected knots where wool was joined, and as I was crocheting a baby blanket I found it quite annoying.

Fabulous yarn!
I used this yarn so crochet a virus blanket. I’m new to crocheting, but this was lovely to work with! Would definitively use again. I used this and another two complimenting colours from the range.

Baby soft
I bought this to finish off a baby's jacket. It's supersoft, knits up well and has the bonus of being machine washable. Looking forward to seei g my new grandson looking as cute as a button in it.
