Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely to work with, once you get the tension right As an oldie getting back into a much-loved craft, I was disappointed that Hobbycraft did not sell the 3.25mm hook recommended on their yarn, so purchased both a 3mm and 3.5mm. This particular yarn works up tight with the 3mm and was prone to split threads and become unsightly but once I started working with the 3.5mm hook the yarn worked smoothly and I have ended up with delightful results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely, soft wool, great for toys. Can be stringy if you aren't careful I bought this great wool for a crochet toy project, it comes in wonderful bright vibrant colours so perfect for my needs. The finished project is lovely but when working the yarn it can unwind slightly making it string like at times. Also the lovely silky feel of the wool creates issues with knots unravelling - so have to learn so some nice neat tight knot tieing tecniques.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I adore this yarn! This is the best 4ply I have come across by far. It is reasonably priced and knits beautifully with a slightly silky texture. Machine washes wonderfully! I particularly love the colours and wish it came in a bigger selection of colours. I have just purchased a gorgeous summer yellow which I am looking forward to knitting into a summer sweater. Well done W.I. !!!!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing yarn First and last time using this yarn. I am crocheting with it and I have never had a yarn that splits so badly. It also unravels itself in use. There is only 270 metres per 100 gram ball compared to 200 per 50 gram ball of sirdar country style recommended by the pattern. So I had to buy 9 balls instead of the 5.5 it should have used. Very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely yarn, good value for money. This yarn is silky and smooth, and very comfortable to knit with. Very good value with 3 for the price of 2. Good colour range.... both very bright and subtle. I bought 4ply wool and knitted a baby cardigan which was very well received by the parents, with requests for more of the same, so I am planning on returning to purchase some more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mindy8 Too many choices which colour to choose ? Easy for me really . I want Yellow for Easter, I want to make little flowers to go on my Easter cards & Red to make Poppy’s for Armistice day . I know it’s a long time till, November , well I’m a beginner, my kind sister in law has only just taught me at 58 ! To crochet so I’m a little slow .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from so squishy I was in store and just fell in love with all of the 4ply colours, had no plan for them, but couldn't walk out without some of them! the yellow is a perfect "sunny" colour and crochets up beautifully. Am in the process of making a star shaped blanket with the yellow in the middle, looks great matched with the Lilac Mix and Pink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft silky wool I originally chose this wool because it was on offer and was the right colour. I am using to crochet soft toys. But I have found it a joy to work with. Soft and silky, doesn't split and has a lovely sheen. I just need to find a pattern to create myself a garment with because I know it would feel wonderful next to skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, texture... This product is so good that I dont want to take my hands off it. It's so easy and fun to work with and makes my project a joy to complete. It's no-pill, sleek and cosy. It's real good value for the money. I bought many of them in different colours of pink, white, blue and yellow. I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft workable yarn This is such a lovely colour. The texture is cuddly and it works very evenly with very few breaks. Made a large christening blanket in a lace pattern with 2ply yarn, and wanted something more everyday...this seems to be working up a treat with the same pattern (larger needles though). My go to yarn.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No Substance As an experienced knitter of many years. I found this wool to be quite lifeless and it seemed to split easily when being knitted. The completed item also lacked substance and no bounce on washing it went wide and out of shape. It also grew by three sizes. I won't be buying this wool again sorry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Customer recommended Beautifully soft and silky, knits or crochetes really nicely. Whilst in store browsing another shopper recommended so I bought 9 balls to crochet a throw thrilled how it turned out so then decided to order a further 3 balls online to crochet picot edge around the throw. Lovely product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very soft, but not the easiest yarn This yarn is beautifully soft, but is a bit slippery to use, and has a texture that highlights any little unevenness in your knitting. I unravelled the child's garment I started knitting, and will use the yarn for crochet instead. The colour is gorgeous, just don't like the texture.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely soft yarn really suitable for baby outfits. Has a tendency to split when crocheting and knitting but final effect is good. I loved the softness of this product and its lustre. Made a lovely knitted baby jacket in stocking stitch with bootees in garter stitch and a crocheted hat and all adapted well to the various textures I was aiming to achieve. The splitting was the only downside. I would use again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous colour & super soft The colour of this yarn caught my eye and then the softness made me want to buy it. It knits up nicely and keeps it's softness. I wouldn't usually choose 4 ply, generally preferring DK or thicker, but the yarn was so lovely to work with, I would use this again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely and soft, not sure for socks! I bought this yarn to make the Wish You Were Here socks, adorable pattern! I’ve found that this yarn knots beautifully, but the finish isn’t one I’d like for a pair of socks - I’ll still soldier on to finish them though! Also very happy to be supporting the WI.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super soft wool I am in the process of using this type of wool to create a nice lengthy blanket for my bed. The wool is very soft and super easy to knit with and the wool hasn’t left any excess fibres on my clothing. So I am very pleased with this product and the colour of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice yarn I've been a knitter for many years, this yarn is as good as any I've used.. It's lovely and soft to knit and wear, shows a knitted pattern well. I'd recommend it, it's sold as a 4ply but I felt it was between that and DK, I'd recommend doing a tension square.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good economy yarn Used this yarn before and always been happy with it. Be careful when ordering online. Dye lots cannot be guaranteed, so I've now found out and in this instance I recieved differing shades which involved a costly trip to nearest shop to rectify!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great yarn I love this yarn and have used it a lot. It is very soft and has great definition for stitches such as cables and lace patterns. Does not pill. I particularly like the sunny yellow and the light blue is ideal for baby clothes. Good price too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality yarn This yarn is 4 ply which I have found difficult to find in a range of colours. It feels soft and I am looking forward to using it for knitted dolls. The colours are lovely but I would have liked even more choice to complete my project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This wool has a beautiful silky texture and it's a lovely sunny yellow I came in to store for a matinee jacket pattern only because I'd already got some lovely cotton wool on a previous shop. While looking through the patterns I saw a lovely yellow wool .it has a silky texture and knits up beautifully

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good strong yellow. I use Soft and Silky to crochet baby blankets, never been disappointed. It really is soft and silky, crochets really well, with good stitch definition and washes in the machine on 30 degrees with no bobbling. Thoroughly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft and easy to work with I’ve just learnt how to crochet and my first make was with this yarn for a baggy style jumper. This yarn is soft and easy to work with and a lovely summery colour too. Will definitely buy some more for future projects!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good value I have used this wool to knit cardigans for family and friends children. The wool is so soft and washes very well. Down fall the wool strands split from time to time so have to be careful. Despite this would recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lovely Wool This wool comes in lovely shades, it soft on the skin and washes well. The only flaw is that it can be liable to split, and if like me you don't look at your knitting all the time, it can be annoying.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from WI Soft and Silky yarn This is not the best to work with. The strands separate when worked and are also joined in the thread leaving wisps of yarn that have to be worked in. I do not think I shall be using this again.
