Beautiful crafting machine
Easy to set up - I'm using it with the usb cable with a laptop - very nice set of tools came with it - and a nice selection of materials to get started with. There is so much to learn but so many workshops and videos online as well as support in the Facebook groups. Being the Maker 3, there is plenty of scopes for more advanced projects and using a wide array of materials, as I develop my skills and move on from the basics. It's great being able to work mat-free when using the Smart materials. See attached photo of first project from the Circuit Access website.

Great machine let down by software
I've been using my Maker 3 for about a month now. The machine itself is brilliant but it is badly let down by the Design Space software.
Design Space does hold your hand and makes things easy for beginners. However you soon start to come up against it's limitations. The whole point of Design Space seems to be to lock you into the Cricut "walled garden", a bit like the Apple eco-system but at least Apple can write great software. Unfortunately Cricut can't. I've had issues with units, Cricut is natively US units so doesn't always play well with metric. There are strange arbitrary decisions like you can only use the card mat with Cricut sized cards that are only sold by Cricut. The more common A5, A6, A7 sizes used in the UK aren't supported by Design Space. There are workarounds but it means that cutting/printing isn't as easy as it should be. An absolute pain for me is that print-then-cut only supports Letter/A4 and you can only use a small area on that media. The machine itself is large enough that it could support A3 paper size and a corresponding larger print-then-cut area.
I would recommend this machine with the caveat that you will soon come up against the limitations of Design Space.

Better than expected.
As a silhouette user I don't know what tempted me to buy Cricut, but I can't say i regret it. Yes the software still is annoying, but less once you figure out most of it, and machine itself is actually really good, AND QUIET, at least compared to silhouette. Had few issues, but that's like with most cutters, usually is user error, and learning curve but in general i am pretty happy with it. Would i recommend it over Cameo? No, unless you want something more quiet, would i recommend Cameo over Cricut, also no, unless you want more advanced software, but I think they both are generally on same level.

Cricut maker 3
I brought the Cricut joy a month ago to realize the potential it had so I had to go and buy the Cricut maker 3, and I love it still learning how to get the best from it, but I will say it's a great buy

Brilliant purchase
Absolutely love my cricut. I bought to cut our felt soft toy prijects rather than hand cutting. Whilst is is slower than hand cutting, it is very accurate; looks professional and i can get on with other jobs whilst it cuts

My Bundle
The bundle is excellent value for money. However, the cricut lid function stopped working and from what I can establish this is a cricut design fault. Hobbycraft exchanged my cricut no questions ask. Thank you Hobbycraft.

Cricut maker 3
Well I ordered this today for next day delivery . Waiting and waiting for a confirmation email of the order. Nothing came though. Went into my account at 6.30pm this evening and the order has been cancelled with no email to acknowledge or explain this. Very poor communication from hobby craft and I needed this for an urgent project . Thanks for nothing. Will find another store for future products needed.

Good, just not for wood…
I bought the Maker 3 bundle as an upgrade to the Joy. The main reason I bought it was I wanted to cut bass and balsa wood. Have to say, I don’t think it’s good at cutting wood at all. Even with the pricey Cricut branded wood, I haven’t been able to cut a single thing properly other than a basic star shape. If that’s the reason you’re looking at a Maker 3, I would research alternative machines. Still giving this 4 stars as it’s great for cutting larger vinyl projects and as a bundle with all stuff it came with, it was a reasonably good deal.
