Dawn MacCallaugh - Artisan

Hi, I’m Dawn. I studied arts and crafts at degree level many, many, years ago. My studies included fine art and art history, hand-built ceramics and the history of ceramics, textiles and costume, construction and conservation.

I first learned to knit and sew at about five years old, taught by my mum who was a seamstress. She also passed on her love for baking, and through the years I’ve picked up and taught many more crafts and creative arts. I always enjoy learning new techniques and experimenting with ones I already know, and I love to pass on and teach others, and encourage their progress and enthusiasm.
