How to Make a Doctor Pearl Costume

From card cut out the outer watch, watch handle and stethoscope pieces as per the template. Paint silver. Once dry, bend and glue the stethoscope strip to the small circle. Then, glue this onto the larger circle.

For the tubes, twist the ends of two pipe cleaners together and bend up into a U shape. Twist another pipe cleaner onto the bottom. Wrap Duck tape over the stethoscope, starting from the bottom. Stop about two thirds from the top

Add glue to the larger card circle on the stethoscope, then cover the whole thing in grey duck tape. Trim the excess. Bend the top of each pipe cleaner to a hook shape, so that you can hang it over your ears.

Glue the watch handle onto the outer watch, on the back, leaving a slit. Cut the the inner watch piece from white card and glue on top. Cut the watch strap from blue felt.

Add numbers and the hands of the watch in pen. These should be upside down, with the 6 nearest to the handle. Feed the blue felt into the watch strap. Add a safety pin and glue the strap together.

Use the template to cut the hospital badge from red felt and the badge cross from white felt. Glue the cross onto the badge. Once dry, loosely stitch the badge onto the shirt - that way you can easily remove it once you are finished being Pearl!

Finally, for the Princess crown, bend a sparkly pipe cleaner into a circle, about 10cm wide, and twist the ends onto it. Attach a pipe cleaner to the circle by twisting the end on. Repeat so that you have 5 or 6 pipe cleaners evenly spaced around the circle.

Bend each pipe cleaner into the centre, then wrap another one around the bundle to hold them in place. Trim the excess

Glue on Gems and pom poms to finish.

Roll up the sleeves of the shirt so that it fits and attach the crown with a couple of hair grips.
