Good value
Having bought some other similar items from the same manufacturer my expectations weren't high. I was however pleasantly surprised with this. Considering it's plastic the microscope is good and focus quite crisp. They've got magnification right as well as in not too much. So many kid's microscopes out there boasting 1000x magnification. That sort of magnification with a cheap plastic lens is always disappointing. So we'll done to this manufacturer - a nice educational toy that actually does what it claims to do.

Waste of money
The microscope does not magnify clearly, I was so disappointed. I know it is a toy but it would have been wonderful for my son if it had been any good.

Wonderful little thing
Ideal for those who want to explore the smallest of things! Ideal to take out in bag or to use on nature walks etc. Good quality, good price too!

cheep and cheeful
Bought this for my 9 year old as a starter one. It's cheep and cheerful, not a fantastic scope but for the price I paid I was happy.

Excellent design for small scale equipment
The use of this is easy and quite novel compared to a full scale microscope. The light fitting is a clever and simple design.

the microscope is a great present for my great-nephew
I went to Hobbycraft in Altrincham because I needed a birthday present for my husband's great nephew. I know they have some good gifts for children, and this will be easy to wrap and post.
