Sturdy and stack well but do not stay closed.
I noticed you have changed the clasp (previously blue) but hoped the lighter grip grey clasp would work. I'm afraid it doesn't. I mentioned the altered quality at the checkout and was told I was not the first to point this out. The one star is because the boxes are sturdy and stack well. Otherwise, they are not really fit for purpose and I am considering returning them - which I never, ever thought I would do with a product from Hobbycraft. I am sorry to post such a negative review, I do not usually do this, but if it helps improve the product, then it could help.

Internal size is disappointing!
The internal dimensions at the bottom are 38 x 31cm which is significantly smaller than the external dimensions quoted in the description. The box is well made and sturdy but the description on the website lets it down.

Great size and value - used as a lap-table
I bought this crate to use as a lapdesk. Actual lap-tables were too low or small for me to be able to draw or sew whilst sat on the sofa without constantly bending over.
The box is an ideal solution as it's lightweight, and I can store my project inside when I'm not working on it.
I had a thick felt mat which is useful to put under the box (as it can be chilly), or on top if I need a non-slip or pin-friendly surface for a project.
The lid's handles don't 'lock' closed, but not a problem.

A really useful storage box
This is a really useful box. It's big enough for a number of items, but not so big that it becomes too heavy for me to lift as I have a back problem. The clear sides mean that I can see what is inside and the clasps at the side keep the lid firmly in place.

I won't be buying these again.
I brought 2 of these to add to my really useful box collection as Hobbycraft no longer stock them.
Compared to the previous really useful boxes ( with the blue handles) they are rubbish.
They are not as sturdy and the handles don't lock shut.

Best storage ever
I love these storage boxes. At last we have a tidy garage again and I know where to put my hand on all those bits and pieces that needed their own place.
